Getting Started
-
You can begin by booking your initial visitdirectly through the website.
If you’re not quite ready to schedule your first appointment, you can also schedule a Meet & Greet informational session to ask questions, learn more about the practice, and see if this is the right fit for you.
-
A Meet & Greet is a brief, no-pressure session designed to give you clarity before getting started.
We’ll discuss:
Your goals and what you’ve been struggling with
How this practice works and what to expect
Whether this approach aligns with what you’re looking for
Our goal is for you to have the opportunity to ask questions and walk away with a clear understanding of your next step. You'll be guided on how to move forward with scheduling your initial visit and getting started with your personalized care plan.
-
No. The Meet & Greet is an informational session and does not establish a doctor-patient relationship. Medical advice, diagnosis, and treatment are provided during your initial visit after enrollment.
-
No. CaliberMD is a direct specialty care practice and does not bill or participate with insurance or Tricare. This membership model allows us to spend more time with you, provide personalized care, and focus on your health rather than insurance requirements. Patients are responsible for payment of services directly.
-
Individuals enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid are not eligible to enroll in membership services at this time.
-
Telemedicine visits are currently available to patients in Virginia.

Clinical Care
-
Direct Specialty Care is a model of healthcare that puts patients first, prioritizes your time, your access to your physician, and individualized care. Instead of brief, rushed visits, you receive comprehensive, physician-led care designed around your needs.
-
Yes, we do not provide routine primary care. We recommend and require patients to maintain a relationship with their primary care physician (PCP) for routine and urgent care visits.
-

-
Laboratory testing is not included in the membership fee. When labs are recommended as part of your care, they will be billed separately through the laboratory. You may choose to use your insurance benefits when available and depending on your plan.
-
Yes, when appropriate. This may include medications for weight loss or menopausal hormone therapy. Every plan is individualized based on your goals, preferences, and medical history.
-
Membership covers your medical care and treatment planning. Prescription medications, including menopausal hormone therapy and weight management medications, are billed separately and not included in the membership fee.
-
CaliberMD is not an emergency or urgent care practice and does not provide after-hours emergency coverage. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately. For urgent concerns that cannot wait until the next business day, please seek care at an urgent care center or contact your primary care physician.
The Experience
-
This is a true partnership in your care. We follow a structured, high-touch approach. After your initial visit, you’ll have regular follow-ups to adjust your plan, track your progress, and provide ongoing support.
We typically meet more frequently at the beginning to build momentum, then transition into monthly visits as your plan becomes more established. Your care will be built around a complete picture of your health, not a rushed checklist or a prescription handed over in 15 minutes.
-
Your first visit is a comprehensive, one-on-one session where we take a deep dive into your health history, symptoms, goals, and lifestyle. You’ll walk away with a clear, personalized plan focused on metabolism, hormones, and sustainable weight health.
-
You’ll have access to guidance and support between visits so you’re not navigating this alone. Your membership includes secure messaging for non-urgent questions, medication updates, and follow-up guidance related to your care.
Messages will be answered within two business days. While secure messaging provides ongoing support between visits, it is not intended for urgent or emergency medical concerns.
-
Not at all. Many women choose a lifestyle-focused approach. We’ll discuss all options and decide what’s best for you.
-
You do not need to have this figured out before your first visit. Many women arrive feeling uncertain and helping you understand your options clearly is part of the work.
Together we will walk through:
The potential benefits and risks based on your individual history
Whether you are a candidate based on your health profile
Non-hormonal and lifestyle-based approaches that may also be appropriate for you
Some women choose hormone therapy. Others do not. Both are valid clinical paths. What matters is that your decision is informed, evidence-based, and yours, made without pressure and without confusion.
-
Yes. This is one of the most common reasons women come to CaliberMD. When the standard advice stops working, it is usually because the hormonal and metabolic picture has shifted in ways that diet and exercise alone cannot address. We look at what is actually driving the change, not just the number on the scale.
-
Results vary, but the goal is sustainable, long-term improvement in metabolic health and overall well-being. Meaningful, lasting results build over time.
-
Many patients come to CaliberMD after feeling unheard, rushed, or frustrated by previous healthcare experiences. We believe your symptoms deserve thoughtful evaluation and individualized care. We take the time to listen, ask questions and understand the whole picture. Together we’ll create a personalized, evidence-based plan that supports your unique health goals and helps you feel your best.
-
The best results come from a partnership. We’ll provide expert medical guidance, personalized treatment recommendations, and ongoing support every step of the way. Your commitment and consistency with the plan will play a key role in achieving your health goals.
